Hi everyone,

It is with mixed feelings that I write to you to announce that I'm going to be starting a full-time job the day after tomorrow, and while I am genuinely excited about the opportunity, it is not in the Linux or free software space. Thus, I will have much less time available going forward to devote to working on Flatpak and related technologies, though I do plan to stay involved as a maintainer.

What does this mean for the funds we've raised here on Open Collective? My hope is that other folks in the Flatpak community will express a desire to use them to make their work on Flatpak sustainable, but only time will tell whether that bears out. If that might be you, please feel free to reach out to me or Patrick Griffis.

I sincerely want to thank everyone who donated to Flatpak over the past year. These funds have enabled me to justify spending many more hours working on Flatpak than I could have otherwise, and they're a testament to this community's desire to see the project succeed, and willingness to make that happen.
