Drop off location Half Acre collected supplies for Full Bath from Feb 10-14th. Additionally, they set up a raffle in support of our efforts. They raised a whopping $4,000! After some thought, we both agreed that donating the money to Brave Space Alliance was the most equitable move we could make. Brave Space Alliance is the first Black-led, trans-led LGBTQ+ Center located on the South Side of Chicago, dedicated to creating and providing affirming, culturally competent, for-us by-us resources, programming, and services for LGBTQ+ individuals on the South and West sides of the city. Brave Space Alliance strives to empower, embolden, and educate each other through mutual aid, knowledge-sharing, and the creation of community-sourced resources as they build toward the liberation of all oppressed peoples. 

BSA’s crisis pantries support both north and south side communities. Issues they tackle span so many intersectional identities. It felt like the right thing to do.

All physical supplies collected by Half Acre will be distributed by Full Bath to mutual aid groups across the city.
