Fight Together
Published on May 17, 2024 by Yuki Julian "YukiDeer" Golovan

Today, we stand together to honor and support the countless LGBTQIA+ individuals who face discrimination, violence, and persecution simply for being who they are.

May 17th marks the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), a day dedicated to raising awareness about the struggles faced by the LGBTQIA+ community worldwide.

Homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia are not just individual cases of intolerance, they are systemic issues embedded in laws, cultures, and societal norms across the world.

For LGBTQIA+ refugees, this means facing life-threatening situations, forced displacement, and immense challenges in seeking asylum and rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

We, at FUR/HELP, are committed to providing safe havens and vital support for post-soviet LGBTQIA+ refugees that are a part of Furry community fleeing from persecution and American Trans lives that flee the danger to their lives. Our mission is to ensure that every individual has the right to live freely, authentically, and without fear.

We honor their resilience and pledge to fight for a world where everyone can live with dignity, pride and respect.

Together, we strive to create a future where love and acceptance triumph over hate and intolerance.

Thank you for standing with us each year, each month and each day.

Help has no borders.

Sincerely,
FUR/HELP Team
