🚨 Statement regarding the state of LGBTQIA rights in russia
Published on November 17, 2023 by Yuki Julian "YukiDeer" Golovan

We are deeply concerned about the recent decision by russia’s Supreme Court to label the so-called ‘international LGBT public movement’ as an extremist organization. This ruling, which effectively bans all activities associated with it in the country, is a significant setback for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community in russia. The court’s decision was made behind closed doors, with only the Ministry of Justice present for the proceedings.

The decision is a part of a crackdown on the LGBTQIA+ community in recent years, as russia's government seeks to shore up his image as a defender of traditional moral values against the liberal West.

We stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community in russia and around the world, and we strongly condemn any form of discrimination or repression based on sexual orientation or gender identity. We call on the international community to join us in expressing concern over this ruling and advocating for the rights and freedoms of all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

We stay dedicated to our careful pro-refugee approach, however we state right away, we help LGBTQIA people that have no trace of support for russian regime, nor trace of support for imperialistic ideas of russia.
