This collective is brand new and this is the first post!

I've been working on futurecoder for just over a year now. It's coming along very nicely. I'm just adding final touches to make the site shiny for newcomers, then soon I will be posting about futurecoder on various sites. Hopefully I can get donors and contributors interested in helping.

Currently hosting is just $7 per month because the site has virtually no active users yet. When I advertise the site I will set it to use a larger machine for a few days in anticipation of traffic. Billing is proportional to time used so this shouldn't cost too much.

The site is currently hosted on Heroku for simplicity but this makes it hard to scale horizontally. The plan is to switch to Google Cloud in the future, after the preliminary release.
