GAF Film night discusses: Permaculture

We will be showing one or two short films (full running time 30mins) followed by a free flowing discussion.

Thursday, December 10, 2020, 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM (UTC+01:00)

About

We are trying to emulate our pre-Covid film nights only on an online platform instead, by streaming one or two short films (coming to a combined running time 30 minutes maximum because we realise online streaming is not the same as in person film showings) followed by a free flowing discussion on the themes of the films and our thoughts and reactions.

For our second screening we have chosen the theme of permaculture and will be showing the following two shorts:

What is Permaculture? (And Why Should I Care?) (2017 - 5min): A quick look at the concepts of Permaculture. I try to define what it is, and then get at why Permaculture is important for a world that is facing a rapidly changing climate.

Jean’s Garden: A Permaculture Documentary (2012 - 38min): A young man attempts to design and grow a permaculture garden in Western Massachusetts. He transforms as he then takes his initiative to Haiti to teach children concepts in systems theory.

Event times are set at BST (British Summer Time), the time zone being UTC+1.
