About

omnieye (ghostcam-finder) is a minimalist, privacy-focused web tool that lets you explore the vast landscape of publicly accessible webcam streams and open IP cameras from around the world.

It passively surfaces already-exposed live feeds — never hacking, brute-forcing, or exploiting protected devices — giving users a real-time window into the unguarded corners of our always-online world.

Key features

- Clean, dark-themed search interface with filters for location, keywords, device type, and more
- Real-time viewing of MJPEG and RTSP streams directly in the browser (where supported)
- Displays available metadata such as approximate location hints, camera model, and source IP (when present)
- Extremely lightweight frontend built with TypeScript + Tailwind CSS (Vite-powered)
- Runs locally or deploys easily to any static host / private server

Intended for

- OSINT researchers
- Privacy & security enthusiasts studying misconfigurations
- Digital artists & urban observers
- Anyone curious about the open digital panopticon

Important: This tool is provided strictly for educational, research, and observational purposes. It only indexes streams that are already publicly reachable on the open internet. Users are expected to act responsibly, respect privacy laws in their jurisdiction, and never use the tool to harass, stalk, or violate anyone's privacy.

Built by a one-person effort (numbpill3d / voidrane Splicer) — MIT licensed, open for forks and improvements.
