Girls who Grow
Engaging the next generation of educated female change makers, leaders and environmental guardians towards climate positive farming and agriculture to ensuring prosperous food systems for New Zealand.
About
We have grown over the last year from our first inception at Lake Hawea Station in November 2021, and recently completed the GovTech accelerator with CreativeHQ before presenting at the Beehive in December 2022.
This year we have been rolling out our pilot program in Otago with Imagination Centred Workshops, Imagination Challenges, On farm lunch and learn experiences and 3 day immersion experiences to enable young women's imaginations to go wild in creating a future that they will be proud of and free from climate anxiety, knowing that they are part of the solution.
Behind Girls who Grow is Catherine van der Meulen, founder of Entrepreneurial Women with Purpose and Board member of UN Women Aotearoa NZ and Aimee Blake, Lincoln University masters student and co-,chair of Future Farmers NZ.
