Gloki
Fiscal Host: Young World Federalists
One real person, one vote, on a network its members carry. A Global Democracy Initiative project.
About
There will be no global democracy without technology.
The Global Democracy Initiative (GDI) is building Gloki: the part every democracy app is missing. One identity per person, vouched for by people who know you, on a network its members carry.
A world parliament, global citizens' assemblies, a worldwide vote on a question: each one needs a way to know that every voice belongs to one real person, counted once, in any country. Email checks, phone numbers, iris scans and passports don't work for everyone across borders. Gloki starts from people instead. You get in when four people who know you vouch for you.

Where it stands
- Live: a demo of the democracy app, and a node developers can run on their own computer.
- In test: sign-up with a key, getting vouched for, joining a community, one shared forum.
- Planned: your own record that you control, nodes hosted by members, signed actions, voting.
The full board, kept up to date, is at globaldemocracyinitiative.org. One rule holds today: no binding vote on this network before an independent security audit, and we will publish the report.
What your support pays for
Gloki runs on nodes: small servers that each keep a copy of the network. Contributions here pay first for node1, the Young World Federalists' node for the network, and then for more member nodes and the security work that has to come before any vote. Every expense is public on this page.
Who we are
Eston McKeague leads the project and builds the Gloki app; he is President of the Young World Federalists. Ouri Poupko wrote the node Gloki runs on, and the research behind it. GDI is a project of Young World Federalists, Inc., a US nonprofit and the fiscal host of this collective.
