To all our expensers and contributors,

Over the last few months the fund has grown from dealing with a few requests a week to nearly a few a day - as a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to reduce the amount we can give out, in order to keep the fund running. I’m writing to let you know we are having to reduce expenses from £50 a fortnight to £50 a month, as we are unable to keep fulfilling the number of requests we’re getting in. This is not the fault of people applying - this just lets us know that the scale of the income inequality in the area is huge, and we’re taking as many steps possible to keep addressing this.

We’re still here for you, even in a reduced capacity, and we’re really sorry if this news is a shock or a disappointment. If you want to talk about the decision further, or you would like us to find some more resources for you to look into, let us know.
