About

The Game of Trees Hub (https://gothub.org) is a Git repository hosting running OpenBSD (https://openbsd.org) and the Game of Trees (https://gameoftrees.org) version control system. The hosting service was created and is operated by Game of Trees developers and OpenBSD developers.

To keep the service sustainable, repository space owners are required to subscribe and pay a monthly fee. Each repository space supports a virtually unlimited amount of user accounts which can be added free of charge.

See https://gothub.org/tiers.html for our current pricing and service tiers.

See https://gothub.org/signup.html for how to book repository space.

Our fiscal host is Stefan Sperling's company Chirpy Software SRL (https://chirpysoft.be), located in Belgium. Stefan founded the Game of Trees project in 2017.

Your contributions made directly on Open Collective support the hosting service and related software development effort. See https://gothub.org/funds.html for information on how we plan to use funds we receive. We are very grateful for your support.

When you make a contribution on Open Collective we ask for your postal address because our fiscal host is subject to VAT in the EU,  Sales Tax in the US, and similar taxes elsewhere for sales to consumers.
Without an address it can be difficult to determine where tax is due.

We use Open Collective to collect contributions and to make our finances transparent on a public ledger.
All our expenses are visible on the ledger. Funds received from paying subscribers are manually added to the ledger on a regular basis. The identity of paying subscribers is not disclosed on the ledger. However, subscribers can choose to be listed on our list of hosted projects at https://gothub.org/projects.html
