Hey everyone! Amazing news! Thanks to your donations to the GoToSocial OpenCollective, we were able to afford an upgrade to the machine we use for CI/CD builds, hosting our Matrix server, and hosting this instance! 🦥
Previously, we had a 2-cpu machine, which really struggled when running our (ever-expanding) test suite, and doing multi-architecture builds.
Now, we bumped that up to an 8-cpu machine with 16gb of ram from greenhost.net. This gives us plenty of processing power to make sure that builds and tests run smoothly! And we were also able to use some of the budget to add more disk space :)
There's no way we'd be able to afford this without your OpenCollective donations, so *thank you so much*! This will make development much smoother and less annoying when lots of tasks are happening at once. <3 <3 <3

For clarification: CI/CD refers to the process we use to build GoToSocial binaries and Docker containers. Basically it's the automated system we have that does builds when we create a new release, so that we don't have to do everything manually!
CI/CD means continuous integration / continuous deployment :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CI/CD
