TITLE: Growing More Than Trees: The Journey of Agroforestry and Mental Wellbeing
Speaker Profile: Tom is a nurseryman growing fruit trees in an organic agroforestry system. He is passionate about sustainable land use and is particularly interested in designing and creating growing systems that benefit the soil, the ecology and the community. At his site in North Shropshire he grows over 4,000 fruit trees per year, in an ecosystem full of wildflowers, broadleaf coppice, green manures, an apiary and three other land based businesses all working as part of the crop rotation plan.

Tom will be giving a talk about his site. Focusing on the design and implementation of such a growing system. Including the highs and lows and the mental health implications of working such a system.
