About

The Guix Foundation is a non-profit that supports the development, promotion and community around the GNU Guix project. Registered in France as an Association it's entirely funded and organised by it's members. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in GNU Guix.

GNU Guix is developed and funded by volunteers from around the world. Both the Free Software
Foundation (FSF) and Guix Foundation are non-profit organisations that hold assets on behalf of the
project.

The GNU Guix project's Maintainers are responsible for the overall direction of the project. The Guix Foundation's role is to provide supporting resources. The Foundation handles donations, pays for infrastructure and organises ways to support the development of the community around the project.
