Happy Faece is a mobile face and body painting project rooted in joy, queer visibility, and community care. We pop up at festivals, school fun fairs, community events and grassroots fundraisers across t’karonto (Toronto), turning cheeks and arms into affirmations of self-expression—while creating paid opportunities for emerging queer artists.

We use Open Collective to receive donations and maintain transparent accounting. You can see exactly how funds are used, contribute with one-time or monthly gifts, and be part of sustaining our community project.

By donating you help us cover supplies, gear, artist stipends, and operational costs for our 2026 season.

We believe in glitter as protest, paint as connection, and joy as community care. Thank you for making this possible.

Not-For-Profit Status: Happy Faece is an informal, unincorporated not-for-profit association based in Toronto operated by Lucy Song as a community project. We know—that’s a mouthful. Here’s what it means: we’re not a registered nonprofit or charity (so we can’t issue tax receipts), and we don’t have a formal board. We’re also not a business or social enterprise. Instead, we’re a grassroots project focused on community care. All funds go directly toward covering project costs and keeping this joy-based fundraising community service accessible.
