We are on a mission to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals by sharing the powerful stories of Aotearoa’s health champions, the innovators, leaders, frontline workers, carers, and everyday people who have shaped, supported, and strengthened our health system.
 
We are also shining a light on New Zealanders who have faced major health challenges and emerged stronger through resilience, support, and self care.
 
Kiwi Health Heroes, launching in April 2026 and published by Bateman Books, is a bold new book for tamariki aged 8 and up, celebrating these journeys in a way that is relatable, real, and deeply empowering.

To make this possible, we are fundraising to print additional copies and distribute them to every GP surgery across Aotearoa, ensuring all children, no matter where they live, can be uplifted by these stories.
 
This is a project of national significance. Together, we can spark the next generation of health heroes while honouring those who have come before.
