Hello and a big thank you to all our supporters who helped fund the expansion of our human rights survey to three new countries in Asia this year: Hong Kong, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The survey has been out in the field since early February and I'm delighted to report that the survey responses are rolling in, with a new record being set in Taiwan for the number of survey responses! The survey will continue to be live until the end of March and we will publish the findings in June. This year we are asking some additional questions about the impact of covid-19 on human rights, so we also plan to publish a special report on those findings.

Looking ahead, we are very keen to expand our survey to mainland China, India, and a bunch of other countries in Asia in 2022, and continue to seek funding for this project. Please comment here, or drop me a line at [email protected] if you have any questions or suggestions.
