About

"Tere Bertucci: Bad Latina"
Fundraiser with In Solidarity

Join Tere—a confused, angry, Neurospicy, Queer Chilena-as she explores what it means to be a "good Latina" in a world that loves its Latinas spicy, sexy, and silent. Spoiler: she's none of those things. A heartwarming and chaotic spoken word (and poetry, and musical) show about failing the stereotype—and loving it.

Originally presented as part of the PBH Free Fringe 2025, this spoken word show travels through poetry, storytelling and song to introduce you to the complexities of being a Latina living in the UK, under two constant gazes. Be prepared to come face to face with laughter, recognition, nostalgia and growth that resonates with anyone who has ever migrated—physically or emotionally. A Queer, Neurodiverse show to fundraise for Palestinian families with In Solidarity Edinburgh.

You will also find art stalls by In Solidarity and Zionism Free Leith to explore before and after the show.

NOTES
  • Wheelchair-accessible venue.
  • Children allowed until 9 pm, although we do not recommend bringing children to this show as it contains strong language and topics like sexuality (teens ok with parents or guardians who can explain some of the content).

  • Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm (lasting approx 1 h)

    See you there!
