Absolutely wonderful episode. I never knew what THUG LIFE meant until listening. Hearing the perspective and desires surrounding Tupac and how not only should he have never died, 'martyred', then had his image crystalized as Malik puts it, but also how he should have never been thrust upon the messianic position of the revolution to those who uplifted him as such. Pushing people above the idea, above the community is another symptom on the domination. We should have the power, and not gleefully idolize those who we need as apart of us, not placed on a pedestal they never asked for.

This moment, this movement, this attempt to find a solution, is born out of love for those we see everyday. I have never once viewed my emotional labor to my loved ones as transactional, because I believe that we all help one another and improve the whole. Even if we cannot immediately strike down the colonial project and the capitalist systems, we can at least attempt to deprogram our minds and our circles and cultivate the love that we hope to bring to an international scale.

The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everybody, so we must love with all we have to those who we know will carry this whole thing to the new future.
