A Major JCB Milestone Release!
Published on February 18, 2026 by Llewellyn

First of all - thank you!

Your support makes it possible for Joomla Component Builder to continue evolving, modernizing, and serving developers across the Joomla ecosystem. This new stable cycle is a direct result of that support.

We are excited to announce the official stable releases of:

  • JCB 4.1.3 (Joomla 4)
  • JCB 5.1.4 (Joomla 5)
  • JCB 6.1.4 (Joomla 6 - our flagship release)

This is more than a maintenance update. Across all three versions, JCB has undergone deep architectural refinement, security hardening, expanded CLI automation, improved packaging, intelligent remote dependency handling, and major internal modernization.

The highlight is JCB 6.1.4, now fully production-ready for Joomla 6, with a modernized compiler core, automation-ready CLI workflows, and long-term architectural alignment with Joomla’s evolving MVC standards.

🐳 JCB Now Has Official Docker Images

Another major step forward: JCB now ships with its own official Docker images.
You can now spin up a fully working Joomla + JCB environment in minutes - no manual setup required.

We now provide:

  • Version-specific images for JCB 4, 5, and 6
  • A latest tag that always tracks the newest stable release
  • Automatic JCB setup during container initialization

This significantly lowers the barrier to entry and strengthens the JoomEngine initiative - enabling developers to quickly deploy professional-grade Joomla extension development environments.

🚀 Looking Ahead

These releases represent a structural leap forward - cleaner architecture, stronger security, enterprise-ready automation, and a future-proof compiler foundation.

Your continued support helps us:

  • Maintain three Joomla generations
  • Modernize the compiler core
  • Expand automation tooling
  • Build sustainable infrastructure (including Docker and CI pipelines)
  • Strengthen the broader JoomEngine ecosystem

If JCB plays a role in your work, your continued backing helps ensure it keeps moving forward - stronger, faster, and more professional with every cycle.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
