Volunteer Update 21 April 2020
Published on April 21, 2020 by Erika Wakid

First of all, a big thank you to our volunteers. You have done an exemplary job, and helped us more than meet our KPIs: 100% of jobs allocated have been completed within the 3 day time frame from the request coming in (usually by the next day) and 100% of residents we've helped have been happy with the services we've provided.

We've now received over 150 requests and matched 75 volunteers to residents who need regular support. The feedback from all our residents has been heart-warming; they have consistently praised each of you for your kindness, helpfulness, and positivity. Thank you for being true ambassadors of the spirit of mutual aid.

We are continuing to work closely with the other zones in Kensington and Chelsea and have been meeting with RBKC Council, Age UK, KCVC, Action Disability K&C and the MP for Kensington to coordinate our response and try to ensure services aren't replicated.

We've also offered our delivery services to pharmacists needing to get medication to residents in need, which has been well received. For those of you that have kindly donated iPads and laptops, these are going to a great initiative- helping the Mental Health ward at St Charles Hospital to create online therapy sessions for patients who can no longer attend in person.

Thanks for all your hard work and stay safe.
