Kula yoga facilitates healing spaces with refugees at Tres Hermanas Farm
Published on August 4, 2024 by Kula Yoga ABQ

This past Monday, July 12, our Chair Yoga class with Tres Hermanas Farm had a little twist: after a short strengthening, stretching and relaxation session, we joined students and staff at the farm to harvest mint and garlic!
Our students at Tres Hermanas Farm are refugees from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, who receive wrap-around support from Lutheran Family Services. As part of our work with Tres Hermanas, we offer biweekly yoga classes at the farm, with a focus on providing healing, relaxation and community dialogue in English and Spanish.

Reconnecting with our bodies and the land is essential to our individual and collective healing
Thanks to our partners at the farm and to all participants for making this such a wonderful space!
