Report not calculating some dimensional materials

I am working on a project for installing a fence and so far have created 3 materials - 4x6x8' Post, 6x6x8' post, and 2x6 plinth to run along the ground.  They are all dimension lumber items and from everything I can see, I have entered the details in the same way for all 3.  I can open the Parts List and see the correct counts and lengths for all the items in the model. But, when I run the report, only the materials for the plinth have the quantities and total cost calculated.  For the 4x6 and 6x6 materials, I get the following message under each - "The standard board was not configured correctly and no offcuts were defined."  I cannot determine what is the source of the error.  I've attached snapshots of the material details, the parts listing, and the report.  Hope someone can spot my mistake.  Thanks for the help!

Hi Bob,

Did you run a cutting diagram before the report? The report uses the selected standard board from the cutting diagram dialog.

In your case, with only one board size, it could probably figure it out, but then you might have configured offcuts and want to use those exclusively.

No, I did not.  Not sure I understand what I would enter for the Offcut Board values. It's asking for a length and quantity, but these are dimensional lumber in stock lengths, say 8' each and the pricing is done per item.  If I don't enter anything and run it, I get the same message as is in the report.

Assuming that you have 3 parts each with a length of 45" and you have some leftovers from a previous project (5' x 3 boards). You can then enter this into the Offcut Boards field. The cutting diagram will use these boards first, because the parts fit, before using the Standard Dimensional you have selected. Now if you have 5 parts each with a length of 45", only 3 will fit into the Offcut Boards, the cutting diagram will need to take an additional Standard Dimensional to place 2 parts.

You may configure several lengths in Standard Lengths of the material, but only the selected length in the cutting diagram will be used. You may try different lengths to check which one gives you the best yield, because buying 12' may be better than 8' or worse, this entirely depends on your project.

in this case, I have nothing leftover.  Is zero an acceptable entry?

The cutting diagram generates as expected for the Plinth parts.  But will not generate for the Posts.  Even though I have them configured the same.  The Posts give me the same error message as the report - The standard board was not configured correctly and no offcuts were defined

Here is how the plinth is defined in the cutting diagram and the post.

I can't tell you what the problem is. If you suspect that it might be a bug in OpenCutList, please use the "Report a bug" button at the bottom of the OCL window and send us your file.

Will do.  thanks for the time!
