A Smart Paint Tool for OpenCutList
Published on March 20, 2022 by Martin Mueller

Many of you have had great ideas for the next release of OpenCutList, thank you!

Some of these ideas have already been implemented, but may be tricky to find. Other ideas are very difficult to implement without completely changing the way OpenCutList works.

In this video, we present a new Smart Paint Tool that may become part of OpenCutList 4.0.

Let us strive for a better world!

Loking very nice.
There is an option in Vray for Sketchup to select all elements by material (color).
I finde it very handy.. (aply material to selected elements... etc)

Best regards!

Hi Uros,

Selecting multiple parts by material to apply properties en selection is already possible through the part list and the check button on each line 😉

One more thing Boris,

Is there posibility to make Export instances editable (that would be nice)?

For example:
Instances names
Designation
Quantity...

Thanks,
Best regards!

Hello Boris,

great news! I was waiting for something like this, as it was always a struggle to find the right material in the Bucket tool even though it was in a seperate list as favorites. Donation is out.

When it comes to edgebanding would it be possible to set up [Strg]/[Ctrl] as a button to edgeband all edges around? So painting one edge while holding ctrl and it it colors it all the way around? Just an idea as it can be very time consuming if there are a lot of doors and drawerdoors.

Many thanks for your work and happy woodworking!
