Since September 2025, we are in the startup phase of the Let's Peppol project. There are a lot of questions to be answered still, but we have secured our first 15,000 euros of funding from the awesome NLnet foundation, we have some good options for access point hosting, and we worked out how we want to do the access tokens between our KYC server and our API server, we talked to our lawyers, and we have the eId card check for Belgium working beautifully on localhost.

Time is of the essence, because on 1 January 2026, Peppol will become mandatory for all B2B invoices in Belgium. We roughly plan to use October for crowdfunding, with the pentesting running in parallel, November for onboarding, and December for launch. It's a tight schedule but we're devoted to making this work.
