LibreCube Fund

LibreCube has the vision of making space accessible for all. Almost every human being has some kind of fascination for space (and space exploration) and therefore we think that everyone should be given the chance to contribute in their ways to this great endeavor. 

LibreCube started mainly from the experiences gained by its founders from the development of academic CubeSat missions. We always felt that there was a lack in exchange of information among the CubeSat developer teams, and in many ways, this is still the case today. We realized that many CubeSat missions failed (and still fail) due to common problems that are repeated over and over again, mostly related to power, communications, and onboard software. 

To improve this situation, we believe that applying the mentality of open source to CubeSat development (and space development in general) will be crucial; on ground as well as in space.
