About

Malaga Sā means Sacred Journey. It's the principal theme for a Pasifika founded and lead arts and performance group based in Porirua. We dream big and work toward expansion to include a full symphony orchestra, a dance company, actors, story tellers, poets and choirs. We started in August of 2022 with the 6 players in the photo. Yes, that is Tuilagi Dr Igelese Ete conducting us. We now have close to 80 members of all ages and ethnicities. Our values are unbreakable and linked to our Christian upbringing, cultural heritage, traditions and identity.

We are inclusive so you absolutely don't have to be Pasifika to join. You just need to be open to a full and authentic Pasifika immersion experience, complete with our brand of humor, humility, food, respect, faith and more food. We love classical and contemporary music so you'll learn everything from Shostakovich to our very own Amosa Lene Isara.

We aim to create opportunities for Pasifika youth by making pathways for them in Arts and Performance. We care for a cater to Pasifika values of faith, service and aiga or whanau and village/community. Our Vision Statement: To Inspire, Empower and Educate through our Pasifika Creative and Performing Arts.
