About

Join us for a special alumni outing to see the award-winning play Kim’s Convenience — the hilarious and heartfelt story that inspired the hit Netflix series.

Set in a Toronto corner store, this feel-good comedy-drama explores the experiences of a Korean-Canadian family navigating generational and cultural divides. Written by and starring Ins Choi, the play is a touching tribute to first-generation immigrants and the families who’ve helped shape Canada. Adding to the excitement, playwright Ins Choi will star as Mr. Kim himself, bringing even deeper authenticity and heart to a story that he calls his “love letter to his parents and to all first-generation immigrants who call Canada their home.”

This afternoon performance includes open captioning, making it accessible for all.

Don’t miss this chance to reconnect with fellow alumni and enjoy a powerful, funny, and deeply human story together. This event is open to all MHC alums, regardless of location or Club affiliation, and guests
