About
The Midwest Human Rights Consortium (MHRC) connects pro bono attorneys with qualified medical and mental health professionals to provide trauma-informed forensic evaluations for children and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.
These evaluations document trauma and persecution and are a critical component of asylum adjudication. When included in the legal record, forensic evidence is associated with higher rates of immigration relief.
As demand grows amid historic case backlogs, MHRC is expanding evaluator capacity and strengthening regional infrastructure to ensure timely access to independent, high-quality forensic evaluations.
Support MHRC in expanding access to essential forensic evidence for immigrant children & families.
