Michigan Drupal What's-update, 2023 (Q4)
Published on November 19, 2023 by Brad Czerniak
1. What did you accomplish during 2023? How did you use money?
In 2023 we did not do much, but are optimistic for 2024!
The main activity, which did not actually happen, was offering up the Michigan Drupal collective as a means of managing a revitalization effort for the Frost Drupal installation profile project as part of Drupalcon Pittsburgh 2023's "Pitch-burgh" initiative. Frost ultimately was not selected, so the collective was not called upon.
We did not spend any money known to the organizers in this year, nor does it appear we received any donations.
2. What challenges did you face during 2023? What did your Collective learn? How did you change or grow?
The biggest challenge in 2023 was awareness. We didn't have a big community push for any get-togethers, hackathons, or other events. Staying aware of our organization and working toward mutual goals is tough, and something we plan to consciously improve upon in the coming year.
3. What are your plans for 2024? Anything exciting coming up?
In 2024 we're going to do something! Not only will we hold at least one event and potentially use some of our funds, but we may also figure out a funding goal and seek donations if we come up something ambitious.
