The funds will be used to support development of free software built by the community and for the commnuity. Our initial focus is video chat software BigBlueButton. You can watch the progress or get involved with the developers through the BBB issue queue. BigBlueButton was developed by the Technology Innovation Management (TIM) program at Carleton University’s Institute for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization in Ottawa, Canada, in 2007.
We need this tool as a vehicle for communities to interact while preserving their privacy.
