SOCADIDO Stakeholder Workshop on Addressing Gender-Based Violence
During this transformative workshop, we delved into the powerful intersections of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and addressing negative social norms that contribute to gender-based violence within the community. By bringing together cultural, political, and religious leaders, youth, and women, we engaged in dialogue, reflection, and action toward preventing and responding to gender-based violence.

Through a series of interactive activities, group discussions, and real-life case studies, participants explored how NVC can be a catalyst for challenging and reshaping harmful gender norms. By fostering empathy, active listening, and nonviolent conflict resolution, to create a culture of respect, equality, and empowerment that supports the rights and dignity of all individuals.
The Participants examined how their respective roles within the community can contribute to positive change in addressing gender-based violence. By amplifying diverse voices, advocating for inclusion, and fostering collaboration, to collectively work towards creating safer, more equitable spaces for all members of the   SOCADIDO community.

By the conclusion of the workshop, participants left with a deeper understanding of how Nonviolent Communication can be a tool for transforming harmful gender norms and promoting a culture of respect and nonviolence. this also was a good opportunity for the policymakers to see other strategies for creating policies that meet the needs of society. Through our collective efforts, we can create a community that stands united against gender-based violence and upholds the rights and well-being of all individuals, regardless of gender.
