"Open Data Product Specification development and maintenance are managed by Technical Steering Committee ("TSC"), open to any participant. This group is responsible for managing pull requests (GitHub), any suggested improvements towards the specification (channels: GitHub Issues / Typeform feedback), and releases of the specification. Organizations that purchase a membership in the Initiative will have a vote in the possible votes and position in decision making. Anyone can participate in the group, but not have a vote right automatically."

Total of 7 requests for changes (issues) have been made. The requests concern the following issues:

  • dataPipeline element
  • Data Act and Data Governance Act Compliance
  • Content sample
  • Input and output ports as defined for Data Mesh
  • Open Data Product Specification schema
It was decided to add the changes presented to the dataPipeline element. Jussi Niilahti will implement the changes together with Jarkko Moilanen.
  • ODPS release cycle management
A new version of ODPS will be released as dataPipeline changes are implemented. The version will be numbered 1.1 according to the agreed usage. 

The release cycle will be further agreed at the next meeting.
  • Topics in the OPDI Strategy Group concerning the Technical Committee
The first meeting will be held on 4.11.2022. The content of this meeting will be communicated.
  • Other ODPS-related topics, i.e. communication regarding the Technical Steering Committee
No other topics.

The decisions regarding issues should be added to Github as well. Update the issue at hand: what was decided and remember to update the labels (eg remove "unprocessed"). At least this one needs to be updated https://github.com/Open-Data-Product-Initiative/open-data-product-spec/issues/210
