🕊️ Resolution
My last Journal Entry for this Learning Challenge comes from the road: It is packed with heartfelt completion, resolution, and gratitude, a multidimensional mini-graduation if you want. ♾️

Before I share my experience, lessons learned, and aspirations for coming adventures, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all my fellow adventurers who have supported me in many ways. I continue to reflect on the indeed adventurous past few months. There is an aspiration alive in me to account for the gifts I have received in multiple domains. Perhaps, that will be the Synergistic Audit I couldn't commit to so far, even though it was one of the steps in the Learning Challenge. 🫠

For now, I send heaps of love and gratitude to Luke, who was brave enough to marry me; my Mutti mom, who traveled across the world to be with me and always supports my right livelihood as best as she can; my dear friend Trent who has held the weekly synchronous learning circle with so much love and care; and to grandmother midi for meeting my limiting beliefs and perspectives with radical tenderness to help me go deeper inwards and see beyond the horizon. 🌈

The first time fundraising for my right livelihood has been an experience of liberation. I have learned that it takes much patience and honest discernment between my needs, my wants, and my wishes. Sustaining my right livelihood can only happen when I bring the willingness to take full responsibility for my actions and be free of any expectations towards others. To feel fully free is a long-haul journey. Well, it turns out I have plenty of wishes, I want a few things, and I barely need anything. 🙃

This Journal entry is the last one I have written on the lands of Taranaki Whānui. For the very first time and with a heavy and grateful heart, I locked the doors of my home. May others who come after me feel the love and homeliness of this place as well.

Mutti and I then traveled to the southern point of Te Ika-a-Māui, the North Island of Aotearoa New Zealand. Cape Palliser is mystic. A fascinating place. On the lands of Rangitāne o Wairarapa, we enjoyed hours with seals and explored the majestic Pūtangirua Pinnacles, an impressive geological formation called badlands erosion, which has formed for at least 7,000 years. Standing among these earth pillars and witnessing their erosion has been a deeply grounding and humbling experience.

After one last night in Pōneke Wellington, we took the Northern Explorer train passing the Central Plateau to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland to continue our road trip to the most northern point of the lands of the long white cloud: Te Rerenga Wairua.

Reflecting on celebrating Waitangi Day, February 6th on the lands of Ngāpuhi in Waitangi, a lot of anger, pain, and suppression comes back alive along with utter pride. The night before Waitangi Day, sitting down on the beach, I tried to capture the energetic overwhelm I felt as I realized it isn't my anger or pain to hold. I know in my bones that if the people aren’t well the land isn’t well, and vice versa. The strength and perseverance of tangata whenua, the people of the land is remarkable. A moment of true spiritual connection I feel very lucky to have witnessed was when the first and biggest waka started moving; their powerful chanting energized the seagulls to guide their journey.

Before I stop writing for a wee while now and hop on a plane to Germany tomorrow, I can happily report we made it to Te Rerenga Wairua Cape Reinga. Another highly emotional experience for me. Te Rerenga Wairua is a melting pot in the sea, where male and female energy meets and provides passage home for the loved ones who returned to earth. It was here where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet, where I could fully let go of many of the skins I’d been shedding since my arrival seven years ago. The Kath, who is going to Germany, is traveling lightweight with trust and unconditional love in her backpack.

With love and gratitude,
Kath 💚
