We need your kind donations to support the next chapter of a transformation story.
In 2024, we transformed a disused allotment plot in Cutteslowe Park in North Oxford into a thriving community garden. We are now growing spinach, tomatoes, sweet corn, beans, kale, and even aubergines! Most of the produce goes to the local Community Larder, boosting their supplies of fresh, locally & organically grown veg for the larder customers. We are also working with the Cutteslowe Allotment Association and other allotment holders to ensure any surplus produce from the allotments is donated to the larder.
The veg is grown by volunteers, some of whom are also larder members. The volunteers and the gorgeous piece of land we are tending benefit enormously from the expertise of our Coordinator, Matthew, who has been generously sharing his horticultural skills with us since the Spring. Under his direction, Plot #4 has become a vibrant hub of growing veg and new community connections.
We host workshops, gardening Q&'S and nature walks attended by a wide range of community members.
We'd hate to see the project stop for the lack of funds. To continue, we need to raise enough money to pay for gardening supplies (such as tools and polytunnel repairs) and the Coordinator post to continue beyond October 2024 (when our current funding runs out).
We need to raise £5,000 by the end of September 2024 to allow us to continue the work whilst we continue to do more fundraising in order to carry on in 2025.
Your donation would benefit many community members and be deeply appreciated.
