We are thrilled to share a major milestone with you, Open Source Collective (OSC) has officially accepted Purgatoria as our Fiscal Host on Open Collective!
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Open Source Collective team for believing in our mission, welcoming us into their roof, and supporting our efforts in communication infrastructure.
What does this mean for us?
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Open Source Collective team for believing in our mission, welcoming us into their roof, and supporting our efforts in communication infrastructure.
What does this mean for us?
- Consolidating Our Infrastructure Costs: Until now, our community members have been paying for overseas dedicated servers, domain renewals, and core services individually out of their own pockets. Moving forward, we are consolidating all these distributed personal expenses under a unified, shared community bucket.
- Radical Transparency: True to our core values, every single dollar collected and spent will be fully transparent and publicly auditable in real-time right here on Open Collective.
- Open Financial Logging on GitHub: In addition to Open Collective, all transaction logs, receipts, and ledger files will continue to be mirrored openly in our Purgatoria/Association GitHub repository.
We are excited to build, host, and scale open-source communications infrastructure together with a much stronger foundation. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
