About

We work toward abolition (the transformation of social relations to prevent, respond to, and heal from harm without policing or prisons) through pen pal matching, mail correspondence, reentry support, sending solidarity packages and commissary to our inside members, political education, and organizing with community partners in advocacy campaigns. We believe in a world of safety without state punishment, and we organize around material and relational conditions.

Some of our costs throughout the year include:
$15 = a book of stamps in 2025
$20 = 1 hour of compensation for a formerly incarcerated person who attends one of our events
$70 = gas for a trip upstate to visit 5 inside members
$100 = compensation for a incarcerated artist and/or writer's zine or newsletter contribution
$132 = 30-day public transportation for someone returning home
$168 = postage to send 300 holiday cards
$500 = one-time cash support for a newly released member
