Quote.Vote v2 Refactor Update — Roadmap Progress and Call for Contributors

Hello Everyone, 

As we begin the new year, Quote.Vote continues to advance toward a clear objective: building open-source civic infrastructure that strengthens public discourse. Improving the quality of discourse is a foundational requirement for addressing many of the complex challenges facing society today. 

Over the past month, our volunteer contributors have made strong progress on the Quote.Vote v2 migration. Phase 3 has now been completed, marking the close of a significant portion of the refactor and bringing us closer to a stable release candidate.

Recent Features Shipped
 
  • One-Link Citation Feature
     
    Posts now support a single citation URL, making it easier to credit sources and direct traffic to original authors while maintaining clarity and readability.
  • AI Microservice Migration
     
    Sentiment prediction has been migrated to a dedicated microservice and integrated into the monorepo.
  • SOLID Pods
     
    In review PR exploring SOLID Pods as a potential future approach for user-owned, portable data across Quote.Vote instances.  https://github.com/QuoteVote/quotevote-next/issues/271
