2023 report!
Published on January 16, 2024 by Liz Zoob

What did you accomplish during 2023? How did you use money?

Raw increased the frequency that we gather for meetings, continued to struggle together as manifestations of racism reappeared/appeared in new ways.  We continued to be active organizers and raised money for two Undoing Racism workshops offered by the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond (PISAB), which covered expenses for both Raw and outside community members.

What challenges did you face during 2023? What did your Collective learn? How did you change or grow?

Challenges included having members in multiple time zones and developing a collective analysis of current events based in anti-racist principles. We are continuing to learn to develop our individual and collective voices with mutual respect. We are continuing to see how white supremacy shows up in struggles around the globe, such as in Israel/Palestine.

What are your plans for 2024? Anything exciting coming up?

Plans include continuing monthly and/or bi-monthly meetings and organizing for an in-person retreat. We are also looking for new ways to fund shift in the service of undoing racism.
