About

In this clinic, Black healers provide a variety of healing modalities to Black individuals for FREE. At its root, reparations means “to repair,” It’s repairing the time we’ve lost, our hearts, ancestral practices, and generational trauma. Our intention is to create a space to explore various modes of repair for the Black community. When we have access to our wholistic needs (community, rest, healthy food, spirituality, medicine) we are able to create the proper internal environment to begin the process of repair.

It is not solely the responsibility of the individual to lead the road to repair, it needs to be designed within our communities. Access to holistic wellness like studios and apothecaries are generally found in affluent neighborhoods. We need to create more opportunities for the Black community to reclaim spaces and the power to heal themselves without financial barriers.

The funds will ensure that we can compensate local Black healers offering a variety of holistic care, provide free herbal medicine, organic plant-based food, compostable tableware (to ensure a zero waste event), and space rental. Through these clinics we are cultivating trust, community, and culturally appropriate care with Black wellness at the center.
