Rikoriko is the wāhine/ woman section of well being inside the whare - Mau patu / Mau Mere
Matarua is the tane / male section of well being inside the whare - Mau Rakau
We have our Tohunga - Pou Manukura - Tamiaho Searancke who has trained in this area since he was 5. He also is a lead kaiako at Te Wananga o Aoteroa for Mau rakau

The whare uses Te ao Māori warriorship through learning patu, mau rakau, takutaku, waiata and breathwork on marae and in the community reconnecting urban Māori to their ancient practices of their tupuna. To re-ignite their mauri, assit in healing using traditional Māori pedogagical practices.
We currently are running the wahine rikoriko programme at present where we provide an āhuru mōwai for wahine and their tamahine to connect in together but firstly work with the mama to reground and strengthen her well-being as she holds up the core of the family unit.
We are non-profit community based whare and we have been running in the community of west Auckland for a year now. This was gifted first to mana whenua to respectfully include and inform them before opening out to the community.
We currently have 30 Members in our roopu who attend weekly trainings and wānanga based learing throughout the year.
Physical movements supports te taha tinana - Learning karakia and waiata - supports te taha wairua - Learning about staying connected with your whanau and children espacially during teenage years - supports Te taha whanau Learning the movements of the patu and the maatauranga moari behind each move - supports te taha hinengaro.
We have leaders in each area of New Zealand and we run National wananga where we all come together to grade and reconnect as one. This sees the hardwork and success of each individual and their whanau. Hei oranga moo tatau.
