About
Jimmy is a former structural engineer who transitioned into software development, driven by a passion to streamline engineering workflows. With years of experience in design calculations and drafting, he recognized the inefficiencies in traditional tools and decided to create a browser-based solution for 2D structural analysis. His tool, ArchForm Sketch, leverages the Finite Element Method (FEM) to analyze how structures behave under load, providing insights into stress points and potential failures. Jimmy’s unique background ensures the tool addresses real-world engineering challenges, from accuracy in calculations to intuitive interfaces for various devices.
Currently, he’s seeking feedback from fellow engineers to refine the tool’s precision, usability, and scope. Jimmy believes in explaining technical errors in plain terms, ensuring users understand the physics behind each result. Outside of coding, he enjoys tinkering with mechanical puzzles and exploring how digital tools can bridge gaps in traditional engineering practices.
