The SE16 Community Fund offers financial help to people located in the SE16 postcode, who may be struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic or other circumstances. This fund can be used for any purpose. There is no judgement, nor is there any obligation to pay back the money. We are a group of SE16 based neighbours who believe in helping our community when they are in need - on the basis of solidarity, not charity. Neighbours can apply for up to £50 at a time. Take only what you need, so that others can also get help. Each neighbour can receive cash up to once per month - this limit is intended to ensure that as many people as possible get the help they need. To claim from the fund you’ll need some proof of address to show you live in SE16. This can be a utility bill, a letter from the council, some photo ID, or something else that shows you live in SE16. Only admins will see this, and use it to verify you live in SE16 and are eligible for the fund. If you fall outside the SE16 boundary or have no proof of address, please email [email protected] to see if we can help you Our ‘fiscal host’, the Social Change Agency, makes payments every Monday, Wednesday and Friday- though we cannot guarantee a time. Please take this into account when you apply for funds, as you may not receive it immediately. Make an application by clicking Submit Expense at the top of the SE16 Community Fund page or try clicking here. The current administrators of the fund are four SE16 residents. The fund is run in accordance with our constitution, which can be read here.
