To our SF Bay Area Mutual Aid community,

We were recently informed that our fiscal sponsor Open Collective Foundation will be dissolved, effective December 31, 2024.

This change will impact our ability to accept donations and disburse funds to those who requested help. We are currently navigating next steps and exploring if there are other ways we can disburse funds.

Our Open Collective page will accept donations until March 15th, and after that, we will have until September 30th to completely disburse the remainder of our funds to those who requested help.

In hopes of being able to support as many community members as possible until September 30th, we encourage those who can make a donation to do so before March 15th.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support to San Francisco Bay Area Mutual Aid! We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts, and with your support we’ve been able to send funds to 55 people.

We are still in the process of fulfilling requests. If you have sent us a request that we have not yet fulfilled, don’t worry–you’re still on our list, and we will work through the requests in the order in which we initially received them, prioritizing folks who have not yet received financial support from our collective.  We are not currently accepting additional requests for financial support, as we work to address our extensive backlog. 

We are currently working on next steps for SF Bay Area Mutual Aid and hope for it to be a seamless transition. We will keep you updated!
