About
On January 26, 2024 Natalie was abruptly fired from her instructor position at Langara College, only a week after she was fully reinstated to the position without any discipline. Her reinstatement followed a lengthy internal investigation that determined remarks she made on October 28, 2023 at a Palestine solidarity rally did not breach any policy of Langara College and were protected under the college’s own Academic Freedom policy and the Charter. She is among a growing number of people across the country facing job repercussions for expressing support for Palestine. The aim of these attacks on livelihoods is not only to ruin careers and reputations, but to impose a freeze on public support for Palestine everywhere.
Funds raised will be used to cover living expenses (rent, utilities, groceries, gas) while she is recovering from vicious public defamation, considering her options, and seeking new employment.
