Aidan, Matthew, Cormac and Isabel, members of the Cork Student Housing Co-operative, need your help and solidarity to attend the upcoming meeting, the European Student Housing Co-op Convening : Developing a United Front, which will take place in Zurich and Geneva in Switzerland from September 23-25th, 2022. The meeting is co-organised by Cooperative Housing International, urbaMonde, Studentendorf Berlin, NASCO, Student Co-op Homes (UK), La Ciguë. Further details of the event can be found here. 

Why is it important for an Irish delegation to attend the event?
Attending the event is a great opportunity for student co-operators -
• to learn from neighbouring countries about their success with student housing co-ops, and how we might replicate this success in Ireland;
• to gain access to advice, ideas, and connect with others in the European Co-operative movement;
• to participate in the creation of a European federated student housing co-op network.

Our Fundraising Goals

We are aiming to raise €300 through this campaign. SolidNetwork have committed to match-funds raised up to a value of €300. This means, that if successful in raising €300 from the public, SolidNetwork will match this contribution with €300, raising the total contribution to €600.
If it is the case that the campaign does not reach its goal of €300, SolidNetwork will still match the contribution. If the campaign does not raise enough funds in time for the event, we will bring the fund up to €300 at a minimum. Either way, we are committed to supporting the students.

Our deadline for the fundraiser is Sunday 18th of September. 

Should we be incredibly successful, surplus funds will be added to the SolidNetwork Fund, to support future calls for solidarity. SolidNetwork are committed to transparency in our fundraising and ask that the students write a short report for contributors about their experience.
