Version 0.29.0
Published on October 21, 2025 by WithoutPants
Hi backers! Apologies for neglecting to announce the last few releases.
Version 0.29.0 is now available! Get it here: https://github.com/stashapp/stash/releases/tag/v0.29.0
The highlight of this release sees a redesign of the scenes page to add a filter sidebar, and floating toolbar and pagination controls. It also contains revamped and zoomable wall views, along with a slew of minor improvements and a heap of bug fixes.
My focus for the following release will be to consolidate the scenes page redesign and apply it to the other list pages, along with adding custom fields (which are currently limited to performers only) to other object types. My intention is to make the next release a more modestly scoped one.
In other news, if you haven't seen it already, we have a brand new Discourse forum: https://discourse.stashapp.cc/

On behalf of the stashapp team, I’m thrilled to announce that our official Discourse forum is now live and open for registration!
The Discourse forum will be the new home for support, feature requests, and discussions about Stash and Stash-related projects.
Discord has been the home for Stash discussion since early 2019, but it has never been ideal for in-depth discussions. It’s also not ideal for support purposes as it can be hard to find answers to questions that have already been asked. GitHub issues are great for tracking bugs and feature requests, but they aren’t ideal for discussions either. A forum-based solution like Discourse is much more suitable for these types of discussions. It allows for better organization of topics, easier searching, and a more structured way to ask and answer questions.
All that said, we will continue to use Discord for real-time chat and support. The Discord server will remain open, but we encourage everyone to use the Discourse forum for support and discussions going forward. We will have further news about the direction of the Discord server (and Matrix bridge) in the near future.
The Discourse server includes a backer -exclusive area and we will be working with the backer community to help shape what this area will offer.
Thank you for your continued support. I hope you enjoy the new release. :)
