Yes, it is hard to imagine that we only have 24 hours left in our beautiful city before we will be starting our journey to Chicago. There are no flights out of Ukraine, buses are not running on schedule and it is dangerous to take trains (because of Russian bombardment), but we are determined to make our way towards Poland in the coming days. Once in Poland, we will be seeking temporary place to stay (just a week or so) before we can finalize our travel plans to Chicago. We know that we have a few stressful and exhausting days and weeks ahead of us, but we're excited to get our kids out to safety and start our new lives in the US.
