Support Inclusion in Tech (SiNC) Celebrates 2026 Contributor Cohort and Global Expansion
Maplewood, New Jersey – March 16, 2026 – Support Inclusion in Tech (SiNC), a leading initiative dedicated to fostering inclusivity within the WordPress community, is proud to announce its latest contributor cohort. Following the success of its inaugural year, SiNC continues its mission to provide financial assistance and recognition to the individuals who build, sustain, and diversify the WordPress ecosystem globally.
Maplewood, New Jersey – March 16, 2026 – Support Inclusion in Tech (SiNC), a leading initiative dedicated to fostering inclusivity within the WordPress community, is proud to announce its latest contributor cohort. Following the success of its inaugural year, SiNC continues its mission to provide financial assistance and recognition to the individuals who build, sustain, and diversify the WordPress ecosystem globally.
The contributor program, which provides grants to those making notable impacts through local meetups, WordCamps, and code contributions, has seen remarkable growth. This year's selection highlights the initiative's expanding global footprint, notably filling the gap in regional representation from previous cycles.
"What moves me most is watching contributors get the support they need to just show up," says Winstina Hughes, founder of Support Inclusion in Tech. "Every grant we give is a vote of confidence in someone who's already doing the work — and on a WordPress future that belongs to all of us."
Meet the March 2026 Contributor Cohort
The selected individuals for this cohort represent a truly global cross-section of the community:
- Moses Ssebuwufu: Africa (Uganda)
- Krupa Nanda: Asia (India)
- Bud Kraus: North America (United States)
- Alex Cuadra: South America (Nicaragua)
SiNC is particularly excited to welcome Alex Cuadra, marking the initiative's first successful outreach into South America, a region that saw no applications during the inaugural cycle.
In a meaningful show of community spirit, last year's recipients chose not to reapply — stepping aside so other global contributors could have their turn. Bud Kraus joins as the sole North American contributor applicant this cycle. With no applications received from Europe, SiNC is redirecting those funds to support a college student currently studying computer science. Each contributor will receive a grant supporting their ongoing contributions to the WordPress project.
