About

Support Inclusion in Tech (SiNC) is an initiative that champions inclusivity and amplifies the voices of diverse talent by empowering speakers worldwide in WordPress programming. In January 2024, SiNC launched a mentorship program designed to help speakers grow and develop in their careers. In 2025, we funded our first contributor cohort—supporting community members doing open-source work within the WordPress ecosystem and strengthening long-term pathways into leadership.

SiNC funds speakers globally and prioritizes applicants in the order they apply. Speakers receive 100% of awarded funding, and we support as many speaker applicants as funding allows. Donation amounts are slightly adjusted to account for standard payment processing costs, helping ensure your intended support reaches our work.

2025 Year in Review

Support Inclusion in Tech funded speakers and organizers from four continents. 57% of SiNC applicants identified as women and 43% identified as men. Overall, 86% of applicants received funding. Despite fewer WordCamps, SiNC successfully funded most applicants with small grants by leveraging Open Collective.
